Branches in GitHub
A branch is a separate version of the codebase that is created to work on a specific feature or bug fix. It allows multiple developers to work on different parts of the codebase without interfering with each other's work. To create a new branch in a GitHub repository, navigate to the repository and click on the "Branch" button. You can then specify the new branch name and create it.
Example:
git checkout -b new-feature
